25 Awesome Date Ideas

25 Awesome Date Ideas

Dinner is the one thing my husband and I actually get to do together very often. It may not be gourmet or by candle light, or private…but still,  eating together isn’t exactly what I crave on a rare romantic night out together! Here are some alternative idea for a fun date night!

Don’t feel like going out? Try these things at home:

DIY Project

Painting can be romantic, and there no bonding like improving the home you live in together, right?! We always enjoy learning something together, and finding out which one of us can be trusted with a saw, and which of us is better at those little details (hint, I am not allowed to be around saw)

Cooking Class

Pick a recipe from a different culture that you would both like to try, and create it together.

Yoga | Massage | Meditation

For a deeply relaxing evening together, light some candles, turn on some acoustic music and try some new yoga poses together. End with a meditation and exchanging some massages.

Wine & Cheese Night

Visit your local grocer and pick out some cheeses, smoked meats or wines you would like to try. Make a list of ones you will definitely have again, and those you don’t like. My favorite is a sweet red bubbly wine, and H-E-B’s peppermint cheese dipped in white chocolate, or their coffee cheese dipped in dark chocolate. Yum!

Camping

No need to go far to enjoy the stars. Grab some blankets and pillows and camp out in your back yard. You can make s’mores in your oven, or build a fire. Maybe even grab the ipad and enjoy a movie under the stars.

Games

Ours is a classic tale of he loves video games, and I love board games. πŸ˜‰ Plan a night where you can do both…together, and see what skills you can learn from one another! This is a great activity to include other couples in for a group date.

Going out? Here are some ideas. If you’re very adventurous, pick each others outfits before you head out.

Book Store

Grab a coffee and a pastry, and enjoy some quite reading time together. The majority of my reading time is spent on parenting tips, or business education. I like for us both to dive into a great book, and then have a discussion and share our insights! Not only can is spark some great conversations, you can optimize your reading time.

Bar Hop

(or coffee shop crawl, if alcohol isn’t your thing. )

On a recent date when my hubby & I couldn’t decide what do do, we drove down to the King Ct in San Antonio, and visited 6 different bars & coffee shops. It’s one of my favorite dates we have ever done! It felt like an adventure not knowing where we would end up next. We enjoyed the walk, met new people, tried a large variety a different drinks and wrote down which places we can live without, and which ones we will definitely go back too! Bonus, we found an awesome family & dog friendly place!
